Within its educational resources, St. George’s College supervises the coordination of the Book Bank and Library services for both the Junior and Senior School grounds which, with input from the school’s academic department, oversees new book acquisitions.
The Book Bank’s aim is to promote reading and provide students and teachers with the necessary books and research materials to help carry out the assignments and programmes the school designs.
Book Bank
The book bank’s aim is to provide our students with the necessary textbooks and readings to carry out our courses in the most successful way possible.
Parents do not need to buy the books, as the school will loan all necessary books to the students. This entails both parents and students committing to the care and correct use of these resources.
In case of a lost or damaged book, students and/or parents must inform the Book Bank staff of the event in order to carry out its replacement. The parent has two viable options to replace the book:
- Buying another copy of the borrowed book.
- Paying the replacement cost for the book in the school’s Treasury Department.
Parents may use St. George’s Online to monitor the books their children receive. Additionally, the rules and regulations for the Book Bank may be found on our website.
